Hello everyone, I hope you are all doing well, I just wanted to know if there is anyone who knows where I may get resources in KY to help pay for a stackable washer and dryer, the older ones would be great, that all I have room for, I have 33 illness, one of which is Hidradenitis Suppurativa, it cause boil like abscesses on my skin, shine days I can't even put on clothes because they are so painful, I have 30-35 at all times now, they have tried everything, removed my sweat glass to see if that will help but at this time there is no cure, my dilemma is when they busy they bleed alot and if I can't wash my clothing asap then they are ruined, my washer has been broke for about 8 months, I love in a small town and we do not have a laundromat and I don't see will enough to drive to the next town not do I have a vehicle. I get 603 in SSI a month, my rent is 350, electric is usual around 125-140, waters is around$48 a month, , my phone is $50 but I have to have it because of so many Drs appts. I don't want to ask my landlord to replace it because when I was trying to get disablity, she let me love there without paying rent for closer to 2yrs, and I still try to give her a little extra when I can, I seen a used set for $300, it's just trying to come up with that amount. So any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, And may Good Bless You All!

@Tracy - have you tried the COVID-19 support button? It can help put you in touch with what you may need based on your zip code

Thank you, I will check into that, I've looked for other resources but in my town of only two stop lights, there's not much help here, and although I desperately need the washer and dryer, I would rather someone with young children that needs help receive it before I do because like I said there is not much help available in my town, my landlord went out of town for two weeks and I have a key to her house and she said I could wash clothes while she was gone, so I got several loads washed while she was gone.

They can try contacting the Salvation Army they are very good about that

Thank you very much Joseph, does the salvation army have to be in your community for them to help, because the closest one I found after googling then is an hour away ☹

Salvation Army has an area that they cover if that's the closest one for you then they are probably the one to talk to medication you might call Catholic Charities
