I was recently surprised with a cash gift. At first, I was going to deposit it in my savings account. Now, I plan to use it for a secured credit card to help boost my credit score. I ask the same question: What's the best secured credit card for a person with fair credit?

Self is good for savings and after 3 months you can get a credit card that is secured by the money in your self account.
I just got a Discover Secured Card is what I have. I would check into them all and read the fine print and choose the best option for you.

capitol one because they don't ask for security deposit and start you with 300 but their apr and interest may need to be reviewed by you— also milestone

In 2 months I will have my secured credit card using an app called SELF. I used the STEADY app and discovered SELF, the credit building program where you save, improve your credit score with Experian and after saving $100 receive a secured credit card.
