How do you get Medicaid during this epidemic since no one truly has an income anymore? I'm a waitress so they haven't brought everyone back yet.

Apply at your local assistance office. If you call them they will send you an application to fill out @Teshia R.

I went straight through the website and they handled everything for me in less than a week. Hope this helps

Yes, definitely be prepared to persist and provide lots of documentation. The system is set up to make it difficult and therefore, cost effective. I hope it works out quickly for you!

I still have Medicaid because I’m below the poverty line even though I hold a steady job.

It’s sad the we can have employment and still be below the poverty line, while still having trouble getting the necessary and basic healthcare that’s needed.
Hopefully things will change someday. We are considered the richest country but still behave worse than many other countries.

Everyone should qualify during a pandemic

How do I change my provider?

I’m starting to think medicaid isn’t for everyone. I was looking at some of the medicare bluecross blue shield account and u have to apply for them and pay for them monthly. So what’s the best insurance to have when you have very important medicine?

Apply online or over the phone if you do not have internet access. This is the first year in about 8 I was able to receive it! Good luck

I don't have an income but I was denied medicaid because I didn't make enough money? Doesn't make sense

I took my daughter to get tested for Covid and forgot to give them her insurance card. She had Medicaid. Will there be a bill and if so will Medicaid cover it?
Thanks!

Charnica they might already have had her information in the system. I know when I went to take my test my information from the doctors carried over. But you can always take it back to them so they can check it. I used to work for Medicaid in SC.
