When should I take out money when investing in stocks ?

I don't think anyone actually has the answer of when to sell because no two situations will be the same.

Slow and steady wins the race. If you are investing for the long-term, you don't have to worry about pulling the funds out. You should hold your stocks for more than a year to get lower taxes when you cash out. Other than that, it's up to you. It's good to have the option to cash out if you need to, but also the option to just let it keep growing if it is that type of stock. To know for sure, you must research your investments!
