You probably shouldn't invest in anything that you don't know much about. Consider what you're trying to accomplish with your investment, e.g. long-term appreciation, dividend income, etc., and research companies that may help you reach your goals.

If you have an emergency fund and 10+ years to leave your $ invested this seems like one good way to go….

I was thinking about investing as well but don't know how to. I need to study up more on this before I dish out funds and don't know if its a good stock.

I’ve often thought about investing. I know a little but not a lot.
At this point I think I should either invest in Apple or the very high rising industry of medical $@!#%… thoughts from anyone?
I am 100% disabled ( as much as I hate that terminology) I have MS as well as some other things but that being the worst ( to me ) so I don’t really have a lot of wiggle room with money, but I would like my daughter to have some kind of cushion

@Stacy J., you should give some consideration to the specific goal of this investment and the amount of risk you're willing to accept. Think also about when this money will be needed. There can be a lot of reward in picking an individual stock, but there's also a lot of risk. If you have time on your side, you may want to consider investing in broad market index funds. The potential gains aren't as high as those for an individual stock, but you're also mitigating a lot of risk through diversification of holdings.

Okay, so I recently started investing myself. From what I've learned, when you're looking through a market (I use yahoo finance, my boyfriend uses e trade and something else), look for recent news, big news! Like if a CEO steps down or gets replaced. Check the stock records, look through the charts. And see when their highs and lows were. Check predictions on google, but dont hold on to them for facts ya know? Also, when you want to buy into something, make sure your return would be worth it. You dont want to invest $100 to make $10, you want to invest $10 to make $100.
Also, I've also started investing into cryptocurrency, and that's a whole new fun and confusing world for me, but it is the future, so maybe check that out as well :) good luck to you!

There's been a lot of study of this, and a consistent finding is that it's best to just buy and hold an index fund. A good option is QQQ.

If you want to investigate for yourself, read A Random Walk Down Wall Street.

I like airbnb right now. Most of the vaccine makers of COVID vaccines are the big ones too. Always bitcoins imo.
