We are in the middle of a pandemic. Our economy really has taken a hit. People are struggling to pay there normal bills and expenses. Lately when I see the news it seems to me, all the utilities, groceries, local government, and even big government are starting to raise prices on everything.

So far I have noticed the price of my natural gas, electric, cable and internet increase. I have also noticed that my sewage bills will be increasing next month. Along with my home taxes.

Groceries and household necessities are also on an up trend. Along with gas and diesel for our vehicles.

What in the world? When the counrty ( the world) is in such a crisis financially why do all the essential companies wanna take our last dollar and make it there own?

I get so frustrated to see this and wonder, with prices on the rise, is there ever going to be an end to this financial crisis?

Let's talk. Tell me how you forsee the future of our country if all these entities continue to tap us for all we have to during this already turbulent financial time?

Politics play a large part in the reason why we get the raw end of this. It's not one sided either.

For myself I find it better if I disengage with the news and politics.
Taking care of myself and being frugal and live simply. The most important is to have a good support system. If I was younger it maybe different. I wish you inner peace and lots of abundance on all levels of you life.

Thank you. I tried to do this so many times but my family watches the news and talks about current issues alot. That in itself fuels my worry and makes this all so very real to me. I wish I could back away from the truth of what is going on out in the world, but reality is reality and dealing with I am dealing with it one day at a time. Wishing you many blessings, always.

The less one focuses on the news the better off I myself feel. Yes we live in this world but to keep ourselves sane it's best to just focus on our goals. How to take care of our own world. Make peace with what we have and learn creative ways to have a better life. It doesn't help to be absorbed and angry with how things are in the world. Look at the important little things around us. It helps me to be grateful for my health. Taking walks. Doing good things for myself to stay healthy. Appreciating what I have no matter how small it seems. Life is to short to be angry at things we can't change. Find your our happiness with in your loving ❤ Heart.

What i feel is that companies and businesses are gonna gouge you no matter what. They want to make a profit of course. They will pass the cost on to you so they don't make less in profit. Always. Everyone is complaining about prices going up. Well of course they are. Companies and CEOs are not going to settle for less if they can pass the cost on to you. I try not to think about it anymore because it really bothers me. If i am going to buy something, I look for the best price at the time and just go with that. Worrying about it will drive you crazy!

It's inflation, mostly brought on by supply chain issues due to Covid. There are so many people out of work because they're either sick from covid or staying out of the workforce for now, that companies are unable to produce at full capacity. They're competing for the same raw materials and components, which makes prices go up because there aren't enough to go around. Until recently, I worked for a huge international corporation, and I experienced first-hand that it's a global problem, not just in the US. Lots of raw materials and components come from Asia, where many factories were shut down for long periods, and they can't catch up with demand. In the US, we don't have enough people to pick our produce (that is, in part, due to restricting migrant workers), slaughter animals, drive trucks, etc., so our food prices have skyrocketed. We also have shipping containers stacked up at our ports, and they can't unload them all. Some ships are just turning around and going back without unloading. So it's supply and demand–when there isn't enough of something to go around, it's going to go to the highest bidder. Companies are definitely going to pass that on to the consumer because they don't care about people, only money. Even if everything went back to pre-covid levels today, it would still take months, if not years, for the supply chain to get back to normal. Don't buy anything if you don't have to, and buy second-hand whenever possible. Repair or reuse what you already have. It's a great time to join your local Buy-Nothing, NextDoor, Freecycle, or Food is Free groups on Facebook or Instagram, where you and your neighbors can help each other out. I even found a "Plant it Forward" group where we gift or trade extra plants. I received some beautiful heirloom veggie plants last spring, and I've gifted Jade trees I've grown from cuttings, for example.
