Start with saving change after purchases. Also if you are working, setup direct deposit into a savings account an amount that you can afford (no matter how small).

Automate your savings through either direct deposit or reoccurring transfers. Even if you start out small such as $25 dollars a paycheck the money can quickly add up. Also increasing your savings whenever you get raises or free up income will help.

Whenever I break a bill larger than a $1 I keep all the singles and save them. I put them in a large fish bowl. It has been adding up quick.

We save all of our quarters and put them in a tin. It seems like before we know it we have saved $500

Doing an automatic withdrawal from your check right into a savings account is the best way to go.Even if it's just $5 or $10 to start off the money adds up over time. You will never miss it and you'll be happy you did it.

I agree with Debby T. Setting up an automatic withdrawal of a small amount is the best way to start. That way it is not a large amount that you have to plan your budgeting around. And it will add up over time.

I have a hard time saving because when my checking is low I have to transfer my savings over. So im saving in PayPal instead of my account linked to my bank. Working a little better

I just started using Acorns they take $5 out my check every week (you can have them take more if you want) $5 was just my choice plus they round your change off to the next dollar also. This is my first time doing this.

My bank has a goal setter acct option. Basically you can transfer money in but to take it out you have to go to the bank. So no impulse withdraws.

We've been saving any and all change. We haven't counted it yet but I'm guessing it's around 7-800$ and I also do alot of surveys !

Teaser a budget ,write out bills and expenses every month and stick to it. You have to hold yourself accountable.
