If you're not already using them, make sure to check out and download the following apps: Ibotta (it's like coupons, but you can combine savings WITH coupons & store sales! You can transfer your savings to your PayPal or bank account), Fetch (earn points for every receipt and earn gift cards), Shopkick (earn gift cards by scanning barcodes–you don't even have to buy products, but you earn more if you do), Shoply (sometimes you can get products free or even get paid a little to buy them!), and BP Me (save $ on gas at BP/Amoco).

Tip: Check out youtube videos for ready made deals…. couponing with Star is great and she does great job explaining each one with paper and digital coupons - also shows best ways to utilize Fetch, Ibotta, ect…. with the deals….

I always forget to use coupons except CVS.

CVS is the best. Are you signed up for their monthly program where you pay $5 and they give you $10? I've been enjoying that for about 6 months now.

S

Shannon H.

I didn’t know CVS had a program.

Yes, if you choose to pay the $48 annual fee - I would make 100% sure to use the $10 every month to get the most benefit from it. Add in deals for nearly free or free items from sales and it's a great way to get a wide variety of items to add to your pantry / stockpile.

I agree with @Roger B. Aldis has most things I need to get in and out quickly. Although, I’d like to learn couponing for any other personal care needs

Has anyone tried using Honey? It’s a browser extension that will automatically apply coupons and discounts to your cart. I haven’t tried it yet but was wondering if anyone else has used it and/or found it worthwhile https://www.joinhoney.com/

Even if a item is free, is it good for you. Is coupons a source of clutter?

I personally do not buy products that I know I will not use unless they are going to be a gift for someone. I bought diapers and baby supplies as a gift as there are no babies in our family currently and none on the way - not a grandma yet…

I've been having trouble redeeming coupons at my regular grocery store (Meijer). I usually find them online–sometimes even from the manufacturer's website–but sometimes they don't scan at the register, and the workers say they can't take them if they don't scan. I'm having to shop at Walmart, which isn't convenient, because the same coupons scan just fine there. Plus, Walmart is cheaper overall. Anyone else having this problem?
