I'm hoping this can change my spending habits. I just simply cannot go in a store without buying something I think I must have in my life!! AWFUL.

Try making a menu for every day of the week and then only buy those ingredients.

I am the same way. It's hard for me to not walk out with something I I and not plan on buying when I stopped there.

try making a menu first based on what you have on hand, then what is on sale at the stores near you that you actually eat

Stay home:) Take an honest look at what need you are trying to fill buy buying "stuff." Maybe write about it… Does it give you temporary happiness? What is another way to get that for yourself? Look at ways to fill whatever void the "stuff" is filling. Another thing to try is put off buying the thing for a week, ask yourself after 7 days if you still "need" it.

Hope this helps:)

I need to stop spending on the little things I think don't matter but add up. I tend to go in stores for 1 thing and leave with 20 things I didn't need and forgot the one I did.

One of the things I tell my grandkids when they ask for something is let's wait for the next pay day. Usually they forget about it. I am doing the same thing with myself these days.

I spend more money on the things that I want rather than what I need. So much that I find myself needing a hole lot of things that I end up not being able to afford so I go without alot of things that us everyday people need in our lives, including food! Not good but working on fixing all that very soon with this new app saver life. I'll keep everyone updated

I find carrying limited amounts of cash so that spending capabilities are restricted helps limit my shopping for needless things.

I've been trying to budget and it's not easy when you only have a fraction of the money you'd normally have, but,it's possible.

If you're buying online you can add a plugin from ebates they send you a check in the mail quarterly. Trust me I do not understand how they make money or why it is worth it for them, but I love it. They also have an app on your phone that allows you to use it in-store, but I haven't bothered with it. I added the link below - read up about it. I remember when a friend told me about it, I was skeptical, but it's completely legitimate.

Impulse buying is a bad habit for me. So staying home helps me save money lol.

I have learned to go window shopping when I go to the Mall and if I like something, don't buy it then and there but wait for a few days to reflect on if I really need it or want it badly enough.

Impulse buying is a great disadvantage when trying to get out of debt.

For sure need to stop spending on little things and learn to save and buy more home groceries rather than quick meals!

A year and a half ago I moved to a different state. I was and still am battling depression. My life wasn't perfect where I was, but I have to admit it was good. I thought moving from my home town and starting new would work and it completely backfired. I quickly fell into a drug and gambling addiction with the help of a new boyfriend. I got rid of him and thought the madness would stop there but it hasn't I've only gotten worse. I have 3 amazingly beautiful children, and I am literally all they have. I've never admitted this to myself or anyone til this very second, but I need help and fast before I completely ruin all of our lives!
