Credit Sesame and Experian is good. I have used Experian Boost and it has helped raise my score with accounts that do not report to the credit bureau like cell phones bills, utility bills, cable bills that are paid monthly and are in good standing.

You always pay the monthly minimum required payment and reduces balances low on your credit cards

Pay everything on time and in full. Rarely apply for new credit. Use a variety of credit types (mortgage, car loans, credit cards, etc.) but only take out what you know you will be able to repay. Do these things over a long period of time.

Paying bill on time, Self Lender is great and a secured credit card. Just making those on time payments will help a lot and it does take time

what worked for me:

  1. get a credit card.
2 never miss a credit card payment.
  2. keep utilization 10% or below.
  3. dispute everything older than 7 years.
  4. pay off debt.
  5. reapeat steps 2 & 3 consistently.

Utilize Credit Karma and Experian to monitor your credit and score for free. They give suggestions on improving your credit. Key things are to pay accounts on time, only apply for new credit sparingly, and keep utilization as low as possible.

Paying bills on time. Keep your credit card usage below 10% of the balance. I may charge something really small to keep my credit cards active & pay the entire balance when it’s due.
