My credit experience!!!!
All my life I heard family members and even teachers speak of credit, the dos and don’ts of proper credit management and the Traumatic experiences they encountered. It was never explained… I was just told what NOT to do. And in desperate situations… I did just THAT! 😞
I NEVER QUITE got it until now…. now that I have a increasing yet fair score of 688/643/633 at age 33. This is post student loans, car repossessions, closed accounts, negative items, credit repair PAID help, and removals!!! Now I’m trying to buy a home… and must relive each scenario as i explain to creditors.
I actually had to take the time look at my finances and understand with help from SAVERLIFE mortgage counseling where and what I was doing wrong!
And to be honest it all boils down to saving and a Conscious awareness of emergencies and day to day/ month to month management.
Through saverlife… I’ve gained an incredible amount of knowledge. This site should actually charge us for the amount of KNOWLEDGE it freely gives. (Don’t do that)😂
This year I’d like to speak with Schools on implementing a credit counseling course as I think it is beneficial to students to head into life without debt and understand how it’s consequences in poor management can forever affect your livelihood, it’s just as important as learning multiplication, and more important than an entire course of GEOMETRY, which would be better suited Architect/ advanced math series.
So SAVERLIFE FAMILY, remember to share your knowledge and experiences here on this site as we step towards a better, brighter, more financial grounded OASIS!
Ps watch Netflix Mortgage Free series ( one family paid off there mortgage of 220,000 in less than 10 years ) with extra money saved and cut backs!!!!

Opening a card is great but remember that your credit goes down when you don't use the card or cancel it.

If you can use a credit card like a debit card, meaning you spend on the card only what you currently have in the bank, you can save lots of money. That means you don’t spend and expect to pay it off when yo get paid because that’s when yo expect to have the money. That’s debt. You are living a month behind even if you pay in full when you get paid. And of course if you don’t pay in full that’s debt as well. Neither is a good place to be.
