I own my own business, so i cover my own health insurance which is more than I'd like to pay. On the other side, I'm pretty sure I can write off the cost, so that helps at the end of the year with taxes.

Here's a question: Do you have what you consider to be VERY GOOD dental insurance? I'm thinking beyond hygiene/wellness visits … like if you might someday need a significant procedure due to accident or illness (I cracked a back molar due to my bad habit of chewing ice my whole life). What fraction or amount is covered? And what are your premiums?

I'm really having a hard time believing in Affordable Care". Last year I was paying less than $100 and this year I am paying $325. This includes the PTC of about $400. Absolutely ridiculous!

Remember that cheaper insurance often has higher out of pocket costs with higher deductibles, copays/co-insurance and out of pocket maximums. Take all these into account when choosing a plan if you have options.

I pay $130 monthly for a mid-grade plan through my employer. They also give me money towards my HSA.

I'm self-employed. Rental properties. I get my insurance through the marketplace. At the beginning of the year I was paying about $30 a month. With the covid relief I'm paying $0 now. I recently received a check for all the payments that I made.
