I find Ibotta frustrating, cashed out, and stopped using.

I’ve made $178 with it in two months. Don’t buy things you don’t need though. Buy the same kind of items you normally would. Do the math and if it’s a more expensive brand than what you would normally get don’t bother unless the rebate is substantial. HOWEVER: Something to be aware of is that you CAN use Ibotta when buying food with food stamps. It’s not against any rules. These rebates are netting you real spendable/savable money that can be used on non-food items. I haven’t found anything else that saves me more on groceries but I do stack a 2% flat discount through DOSH and also apply coupons through my grocery store’s app.

Other tips: don’t worry much about the brand-specific bonuses unless you would otherwise naturally buy that stuff. It just induces gratuitous purchases of stuff you don’t need. But the bonuses that are along the lines of “Redeem 10 offers by July 29 for $5” are good money.

You can get Ibotta through this link if you want. It will add you to my “team”. It has a teamwork feature. We will reach bonuses faster. Right now I’m doing it solo. https://ibotta.onelink.me/iUfE/1005cd3f?friend_code=yhaitlx
