My name is Angela . I am 37 yrs. Old and have been married for 10 1/2 yrs . My story is long so I'll try to shorten it up as much as possible. In 2012, my husband and I found ourselves homeless and living in the river bottom. He did the best he possibly could to provide for me and protect me while we were down o. Our luck. 5 years pass and we finally got out of that deep hole and back in the real world. Well that same year (Oct 24, 2017) , little did we know how much our world and lives were about to take another drastic change!! The morning of 10-26-2017 , I had to rush him to the e.r. because he was having a hard breathing and his right arm was cold and numb. By the time we arrived at the hospital, his arm was completely lifeless, no pulse ! After all their tests and x-rays etc. They told us he had multiple massive pulmonary embolism (clots) and a rare saddle embuli be middle of his chest! He then started fading fast . They had to intubate him and he was in a coma for 6 out of an 11 unwanted , unexpected stay in the ICU. Today he is clot free , but suffers from not only his prior underlying medical conditions before this, but has to deal with the damage the clots left behind! His right lung suffered the worst, it is only working at 35-40% capacity and has been put on oxygen 24/7 a few months ago. I have since went into the medical field. Completed a CNA / home health aid program and now am a full time student in nursing school with hopes of becoming a RN . But unfortunately, due to the pandemic, I lost the only income we had coming in and facing a major set back with my school because I cannot pay tution. I've been looking for any kind of work but have had no luck! I know God has a plan and everything happens for a reason, but I can't help but worry and think of how close we Are to being right back where we were 7 yrs. Ago (in the river bottom) . A place we worked hard to get out of!
