SaverLife Emergency Response Fund FAQs

Update as of January 5, 2021: If you see any links online leading to an application to apply to a SaverLife Emergency Response Fund, please note that it is NOT a legitimate link. Do not provide any information through those links; your online information may be compromised. Any email communication about SaverLife will come from an email address ending in @saverlife.org.

Update as of October 15, 2020: SaverLife has provided $2.8 million to almost 4,500 members nationwide.

At this time, all the emergency response funds have been given to our members. For any future opportunities like this, we’ll let you know by email. In the meantime, here are a few resources you may find helpful:

What is the SaverLife Emergency Response Fund?

COVID-19 is impacting working families across the country. We have raised money from our generous donors to offer $500 payments to many of our members. If you are selected, you will receive an email from us with instructions on how to claim your payment. To date, we’ve given away over $2.6 million as part of the Emergency Response Fund.

Who is eligible for Emergency Response Fund payments?

Due to limited funding and high demand, we are not able to offer payments to all SaverLife members. A limited number of members who sign up and link their bank account to SaverLife will be randomly selected to receive these funds.

At this time, there is no way to apply for the Emergency Response Fund.

How will I know if I’ve been selected for an Emergency Response Fund payment?

We will send an email at the email address you used to sign up for SaverLife. Make sure you check regularly, as this email may go to your spam folder. You’ll have one week after receiving the email to claim your payment.

What should I do if I want to receive an Emergency Response Fund payment?

We aren’t able to respond to individual requests or applications for payments. However, we encourage you to sign up for SaverLife and link your bank account for opportunities like this in the future. Depending on our funding, we may randomly select additional users for Emergency Response Fund payments.

Do I have to pay the money back or do something for SaverLife if I am chosen?

No, this is a grant from SaverLife and our funders. Once you receive the money, it is yours to use in whatever way is most helpful to you.

What else is SaverLife doing in response to COVID-19?

In addition to the SaverLife Emergency Response Fund, we are working to support our members in various ways:

  • Forums – Share your experiences and learn from how other SaverLife members are navigating the crisis.
  • Articles from financial experts – Read trusted, expert advice on managing your finances during COVID-19.
