I fortunate enough to get health insurance through my work, but I know that it's different for everyone based on their employment and financial situation. What do you do for health insurance?

I get health insurance with my work and I pay $200 each month (for me and husband) as my portion of the premiums.

I am a licensed insurance broker and work for HealthSherpa, a certified enrollment partner of Healthcare.gov. 9 out of 10 people who apply for coverage through the health insurance marketplace qualify for financial assistance in paying for their plan. We have enrolled over 800,000 people this year, and most of them have paid $45/month or less! Here’s some information about how to find a Marketplace plan: https://www.saverlife.org/money-101/where-do-you-apply-for-a-marketplace-plan

I am a substance abuse counselor for a nonprofit organization since 2014. I receive the health care insurance through my employer. In the 2019 enrollment period I chose the basic HMO with a low premium of $90.00 (for myself) a month instead of the PPO at $170.00 a month. This gives me about $40.00 extra per pay to save.

@Terrie - It's great that you were able to save money while still having health insurance!

I recently got approved for an EBT card and they have some good options from the freshebt app. I'm not sure if it's the same marketplace but here is a link. I'm a little confused though on how things work I have always been insured for free through work or my parents. I have no idea even after reading the details. What's the difference between deductibles and what it means by after deductible.

My family has insurance through my job, which is for 5 people and I about 2-3 hundred biweekly. Not to mention having to meet a deductible, which is about 2600. My insurance as you can tell isn’t great, but we are insured, which eats up most of my income.

My family insurance is through my job and I pay $170 no-weekly including vision and dental. I have a family of 5 and my insurance is great.Am graceful to have a job with great benefits.

My HDHP is completely covered by my employer. ER also contributes to my HSA.

Through my spouse's work it's about $160 per month for two adults on a high deductible PPO.

I have Kaiser Permanente through my job. No deductible, low co-pay. It costs me $47 per biweekly paycheck.

I have insurance through my work for my 4 year old daughter and I. I pay $210 the first two paychecks each month (paid bi-weekly) for both of us to have medical/dental/vision on the high PPO plan. September is annual enrollment and I am looking into changing my plan. I am a single Mom and every little bit I can save helps!

I am fortunate that my health insurance premium is fully covered by my employer. However, there has been talks about having employees pay a portion of the cost as health care cost are rising.

My husband and I pay for health insurance through his work. Our insurance cost is $511 per month for health, dental and vision - just for the two of us. In my humble opinion, this is a far cry from affordable. We have co-pays, co-insurance and a 4,500 to 9,000 dollar deductible on top of that premium. On the positive side, we can continue to see the family doctor we have seen for the past 25 years (not an option with govt. offered Healthcare).

I pay zero out of my paycheck for HMO Premium through work but my copays and deductibles are high. Being young and healthy I think this is the best option since I bring home the most of my paycheck this way but I do worry if something bad were to happen since my out of pocket costs are HIGH!
